Key Technical Advantages – Why SJ High Pressure Products Perform Differently
1. Full-Stack Manufacturing – We Cast, Forge, Machine, Weld, Test, and Assemble
Many fluid control "manufacturers” are assembly houses. They buy cast valve bodies from a foundry, buy trim components from another supplier, and bolt them together. When something fails, you're chasing three different warranties.
SJ is different. We have a complete production facility spanning 296,000 square meters of industrial construction area, equipped with more than 2,100 precision machines including welding, forging, casting, riveting, heat treatment, machining, assembly, and post-treatment lines. We operate dedicated production lines for high pressure manifolds, plunger pumps, gearboxes, masts, drawworks, cylinders, and post-treatment.
That means we own quality from raw steel to finished manifold. No finger-pointing. No "the casting was bad, ask the foundry.”
2. API Certified – 4F, 6A, 7K, 8C, and 16C Monograms
SJ first obtained API monogram authorization in 1994. Since then, we've maintained API certifications for 4F (drilling structures), 6A (wellhead and Christmas tree equipment), 7K (drilling and well servicing equipment), 8C (hoisting equipment), and 16C (choke and kill manifolds). We were the first enterprise in China to obtain the API SPEC 16D logo for choke manifold systems. Additionally, we hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and international certifications including CE, ABS, GOST (CU-TR), and OTTC.
What this means for you: Every pressure-containing product carries an API monogram and full material traceability. Your third-party inspector can audit our records from steel mill certificate through final pressure test.
3. Interchangeable with World-Leading Brands – Drop-In Replacement
SJ's high pressure manifolds and components are designed to be dimensionally and functionally interchangeable with leading international brands. If you’re running a manifold from any major Western manufacturer, SJ's unions, valves, fittings, and even complete manifold sections will bolt up with no modification.
This isn’t "close enough.” We maintain exact dimensional specifications to ensure field crews can swap components without specialized adapters or re-work.
4. Pressure Rating Coverage from 21 MPa to 175 MPa – One Supplier for All Pressures
From standard mud manifolds at 21 MPa to ultra-high pressure fracturing components at 175 MPa, SJ covers the entire oilfield pressure range. You don't need three suppliers for different pressure classes. We build components for every pressure rating you’ll encounter – from drilling circulation through well control to hydraulic fracturing.
5. Sour Service & High Temperature Configurations
Standard components are suitable for sweet service. But we also build for the tough environments: H₂S-rich fields (NACE MR0175 fully compliant), high-temperature thermal recovery operations (up to 180°C), and arctic conditions (-46°C low temperature trim). Our sour service components undergo additional hardness testing and use stainless steel or corrosion-resistant alloys in all wetted parts.
6. Fully Traceable Quality System – Backed by Sinopec
Our quality management system includes:
-
Raw material certification: Every steel mill certificate logged and retained
-
In-process inspection: Visual, dimensional, and NDE at every manufacturing stage – forging/machining/welding/assembly
-
Pressure testing: Each component tested to 1.5x working pressure (minimum), with automatic data recording
-
Third-party witness: Your inspector or any classification society (DNV, ABS, CCS, Lloyd's) can witness every stage
-
Final documentation: Complete traceability package delivered with every product
7. Complete Manifold Engineering – Not Just Valves, But Systems
Many suppliers stop at individual valves and fittings. SJ engineers complete manifold systems – custom layouts designed for your specific equipment and platform constraints. We provide:
-
P&IDs and 3D assembly drawings
-
Pressure vessel calculations and stress analysis (where applicable)
-
Full assembly and testing at our 50,000 m² rig assembly yard
-
On-site commissioning support for manifold installation

OEM Customized Solutions – We Build to Your Spec, Not a Catalog
Because high pressure fluid control requirements vary widely by operation, rig design, and regional standards, SJ treats every manifold and component order as a semi-custom engineering project.
What we customize:
| Your Requirement | Our Engineering Solution |
|---|---|
| Custom pressure rating | Components from 21 MPa up to 175 MPa |
| Non-standard end connections | Any transition – hammer union to API flange, threaded to welded, metric to imperial |
| Specific material requirements | Stainless steel, Inconel, Monel, 17-4PH, or other corrosion-resistant alloys |
| Sour service (H₂S) | NACE MR0175 compliant – all wetted parts undergo hardness testing, non-ferrous trim |
| Low temperature (arctic) | Special impact-tested materials, low-temp seals, -46°C certification |
| High temperature (thermal recovery) | High-temp seals and trim materials, up to 180°C continuous operation |
| Marine / offshore environment | C5-M coating, stainless steel external fittings, 316L wetted parts on request |
