Why Choose SJ Petro for Drilling Equipment?

1. Complete One‑Stop Supplier – From Rigs to Downhole Tools

Many suppliers sell drilling rigs but rely on third parties for ancillary equipment. SJ Petro manufactures or integrates the entire drilling spread: mast, drawworks, top drive, mud pumps, solids control, BOP, control system, power generation, and even drill pipe and casing. You deal with one project manager, one warranty, one service number.

2. Proven Across Every Extreme – 20+ Years of Global Exports

Since 2004, SJ Petro has exported drilling equipment to:

  • Middle East – 6 × ZJ90 desert rigs to Kuwait Oil Company

  • Russia – 11 × ZJ40 arctic rigs to Rosneft

  • United States – 75+ BE series rigs

  • South America, Southeast Asia, Africa, Central Asia – hundreds more

This is not a catalog of promises. This is a track record of delivery.

3. Backed by Sinopec – The World's Largest Energy & Chemicals Company

SJ Petro is a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Sinopec Oilfield Equipment Corporation, part of the Fortune Global 500 Sinopec Group. This provides:

  • Financial stability – We honor our warranties and long‑term support commitments.

  • Operational data – Sinopec drills thousands of wells annually; our designs are refined using real‑world feedback.

  • Global logistics – We can ship complete drilling spreads to any port, airstrip, or helipad.

4. API Certified – No Shortcuts, No Surprises

All our drilling equipment meets API 4F, 7K, 8C, 16A, and Q1 standards. Full documentation packages for regulatory approval are provided. Third‑party inspection is welcome at every stage – we have nothing to hide.

FAQ – Drilling Equipment & Drilling Rigs

Q1: What is the depth range of your drilling rigs?

A: We offer a complete depth spectrum from 1,000m to 12,000m across the ZJ series. The ZJ30 is rated for 3,000m, the ZJ40 for 4,000m, up to the ZJ120 for 12,000m. Custom intermediate ratings are also available.

Q2: Do you only sell complete rigs, or can I buy individual components (e.g., just a top drive or mud pumps)?

A: We sell both complete rigs and individual components. You can order a single top drive, a set of mud pumps, a solids control system, or any other major component. Spare parts are also available for existing SJ Petro equipment.

Q3: What is the difference between mechanical, SCR, and AC VFD drive systems?

A: Mechanical – diesel engine drives the drawworks via clutch/gearbox. Lowest upfront cost, simplest maintenance. SCR (DC) – diesel genset provides DC power to the drawworks. Smoother than mechanical, moderate cost. AC VFD – advanced digital control, infinitely variable speed, regenerative braking, 20‑25% higher efficiency than DC. Standard on ZJ50 and above.

Q4: Can you supply drilling equipment for extreme environments like the Arctic or desert?

A: Yes. We have dedicated Arctic (-45°C to -60°C, GOST certified) and Desert (+55°C, sand‑sealed) versions of all our rigs. Offshore (marine coatings, ATEX) and tropical (corrosion‑resistant) packages are also available.

Q5: How long does it take to get a drilling rig delivered?

A: Lead times vary by model and configuration:

  • Standard ZJ30/ZJ40 – 4‑5 months

  • ZJ50/ZJ70 – 5‑7 months

  • ZJ90 – 7‑9 months

  • ZJ120 – 10‑12 months

  • BE series (trailer‑mounted) – 4‑6 months

Custom configurations add 2‑3 months. Expedited delivery may be available for urgent projects.

Q6: Do you provide training for our crews?

A: Yes. Every major equipment purchase includes on‑site training:

  • Complete rig – 4‑6 weeks of training covering assembly, operation, maintenance, and safety

  • Individual components – 1‑2 weeks of focused training

  • Refresher courses – available annually

We also offer simulator‑based training for driller certification.

Q7: What is the warranty on your drilling equipment?

A: Standard warranty is 18 months from shipment or 12 months from commissioning (whichever first). Extended warranty options are available. For components purchased separately, warranty terms are proportional.

Q8: How do I get a quote for drilling equipment?

A: Contact our sales team with your requirements:

  • Target depth and well profile

  • Operating environment (desert, arctic, offshore, standard)

  • Desired mobility (skid, walking, trailer‑mounted, truck‑mounted)

  • Automation level required

  • Any existing equipment to be integrated

We will provide a detailed proposal including specifications, layout drawings, budget price, and delivery schedule – within 10 working days.
