Applications – Where Our Workover Rigs Are Used

Our clients deploy our rigs in diverse scenarios:

Region Application Client Feedback
Southeast Asia (Offshore) Platform workover & P&A "SJW-250E cut P&A time by 35% vs. previous contractor.”
Middle East (Desert) Deep gas well intervention "Hydraulic system runs daily at 50°C – no overheating.”
West Africa (Swamp) Live‑well snubbing "Snubbing stack held 6,500 psi for 14 days without a leak.”
South America (Mountains) Mature field rework "Modular design allowed helicopter moves between pads.”
North America (Shallow gas) Batch workover "Rig‑up time under 6 hours – we did 4 wells in 5 days.”

Why Choose SJ Petro Among All Workover Rig Manufacturers?

1. We Are a Sinopec Subsidiary – Financial Stability & Long‑Term Commitment
You are not dealing with a small fab shop. Our parent company (Sinopec Oilfield Equipment) guarantees supply chain continuity, R&D funding, and after‑sales support for decades.

2. More Than 500 Workover Rigs Delivered
That’s real volume. Volume means we have refined our designs, trained our production teams, and built a mature supply chain. You benefit from lessons learned across hundreds of projects.

3. Transparent, Fixed-Price Customization
Many workover rig manufacturers charge "time and materials” for modifications. We provide a fixed quote for any custom feature – with a clear delivery date. No surprises.

4. Field Service Engineers in Key Time Zones
We have full‑time service staff in Singapore, Dubai, and Houston. Response time for remote troubleshooting is under 2 hours (via video call). Onsite support typically arrives within 5 days.

5. Competitive Pricing Without Corner Cutting
Because we manufacture in‑house and buy steel in bulk (group purchasing through Sinopec), our costs are lower. We pass those savings to you. But we never compromise on material grades or testing.

6. 15‑Year Spares Availability Guarantee
We sign a spares commitment letter for every rig. Critical components are stocked for 15 years after the last production date of that model. You won’t be left stranded.

7. Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with Your Witness
You are welcome to send your team to our Jingzhou factory for FAT. We cover local logistics and provide interpretation. Many clients do this – it builds confidence.

Types of Workover Rigs We Manufacture

We are not limited to one type. As a full‑service workover rig manufacturer, we produce:

  • Hydraulic workover rigs (land & offshore) – 90k to 300k lbs

  • Electric AC workover rigs – zero emissions, silent

  • Snubbing workover units – integrated or standalone

  • Platform workover rigs – compact, corrosion‑protected

  • Truck‑mounted workover rigs (light duty, 40k–80k lbs) – custom order

  • Coiled tubing – workover combo units (engineered on request)

If you need a configuration not listed, ask us. We probably have engineered something similar before.

Frequently Asked Questions (For Procurement Managers & Engineers)

Q1: What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
One rig. We don’t force multi‑rig orders. But we do offer volume discounts for 3+ identical units.

Q2: What is your typical lead time from order to delivery?
For standard hydraulic models (SJW-150H to 250H): 6–8 months from deposit to FOB China port. Electric models add 1–2 months for VFD cabinet integration. Custom features may add 2–3 months.

Q3: Do you offer financing or leasing?
Yes. We work with several international leasing partners. Operating leases (1–5 years) and finance leases are available. Minimum rig value $1M USD.

Q4: Can you supply spare parts kits with the initial order?
Absolutely. We recommend a "first‑year spares kit” based on your expected operating hours. We also provide a recommended spares list for 2–5 years.

Q5: How do you handle warranty claims?
Standard warranty: 18 months from delivery or 12 months from commissioning (whichever comes first). Warranty covers parts and labor. We ship replacement parts by air and credit your account for local labor if we cannot send a technician.

Q6: What quality audits do you accept?
We are regularly audited by Sinopec internal teams and third parties (ABS, DNV). We welcome client audits – just give 4 weeks’ notice. We will share our ISO and API certificates upfront.

Q7: Can you manufacture workover rigs to CE or ATEX standards for European markets?
Yes, but CE/ATEX adds cost and lead time (third‑party notified body involvement). We have done several CE‑marked units for Eastern Europe. Contact us for a compliance matrix.

Q8: Do you export to countries under sanctions?
We follow all UN, US, and EU sanctions. We will ask for end‑user certificates and comply with export control laws. No exceptions.

Q9: How many workover rigs can you produce per year?
Our current annual capacity is 60 units (mix of hydraulic and electric). We can ramp up to 80 with overtime. For large fleet orders (10+), we dedicate a separate production line.

Q10: What training do you provide for our local crew?
Standard package: 5 classroom days + 5 field days at your site. We also offer "train‑the‑trainer” – we certify your senior staff to train others. All training materials (manuals, videos, checklists) are included.

Q11: Can we visit other clients’ operating sites before purchasing?
With client permission, yes. We can arrange a visit to an operating workover rig in Southeast Asia or the Middle East. You will sign a non‑disclosure agreement with the end‑user.

Q12: How do you compare with American or European workover rig manufacturers?
Our rigs are technically equivalent (same API certifications, similar components). Our lead times are 30–40% shorter, and our pricing is 15–25% lower. The main difference is brand recognition – we are working to change that through proven performance.
