Product Types – Complete CT Systems & Component Upgrades

We don’t just sell one "standard” coiled tubing equipment package. You can choose a complete system or upgrade individual components.

Complete Coiled Tubing Units (CTU)

  • Light CTU (20k–40k lbs) – For 1″ – 1.5″ CT, shallow wells, workover rig assist.

  • Medium CTU (40k–70k lbs) – The workhorse. 1.5″ – 2″ CT, depths up to 15,000 ft.

  • Heavy CTU (80k–100k+ lbs) – For 2.375″ – 3.5″ CT, deep wells, heavy milling or drilling.

Stand-Alone Components

  • Injector heads – retrofit for existing CT units from other manufacturers (we can adapt mounts).

  • Control cabins – upgrade older analog systems to digital data acquisition.

  • Reels & reel drives – for new builds or replacement.

  • Hydraulic power packs – complete with filters, coolers, and accumulators.

Custom & Mobile Configurations

  • Truck-mounted CT units – for rapid mobilization between small wellsites.

  • Trailer-mounted CT units – lower cost, easier towing.

  • Offshore skidded units – compact, corrosion-protected, DNV/ABS optional.

Where Our Coiled Tubing Equipment Is Used

Our equipment is designed to handle a wide range of well intervention and drilling applications:

  • Onshore wells – tight oil, shale gas, conventional workover

  • Offshore platforms – skidded units with small footprints

  • Desert operations – high ambient temperature, sand intrusion

  • Arctic / cold climate – heated hydraulic systems, low-temperature seals

  • Remote jungle or mountain locations – modular, helicopter-liftable components

Specific jobs our CT equipment runs daily:

  • Sand cleanout & circulation

  • Acid stimulation & scale removal

  • Milling of bridges, plugs, or scale

  • Fishing operations (with CT-conveyed tools)

  • Velocity string installation

  • Underbalanced drilling (UBD) with CT

Why Choose SJ Petro for Your Coiled Tubing Equipment?

We’re not the biggest name in CT equipment (yet). But we might be the most responsive.

Typical Industry Problem SJ Petro Solution
Long lead times (6–9 months from major brands) 90–120 days standard; 60–70 days for semi-standard units
Poor after-sales support in remote regions We send technicians – or train your local crew. Spare parts shipped within 48 hours.
"One-size-fits-all” designs that don’t fit your wellsite Modular, custom layout – we work from your site survey
Proprietary parts that lock you into one supplier Our injector heads and reels use off-the-shelf hydraulic and electrical components

Additional advantages:

  • Sinopec Group backing – financial stability and decades of oilfield manufacturing experience.

  • Full equipment certification – API Q1, ISO 9001, and site-specific certifications (ABS, DNV, etc. on request).

  • Integrated supply – We can provide not just the CTU but also the coiled tubing strings, downhole tools, and BOP stack. One purchase order, one point of contact.

  • Field-proven reliability – Over 30 CT units currently operating in Russia, China, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: Do you manufacture the entire coiled tubing equipment package or assemble from third-party components?

A: We manufacture the injector head, reel, control cabin, and power pack in-house. Hydraulic pumps, engines, and electronic instruments are sourced from reputable global brands (e.g., Caterpillar, Parker, Danfoss, Siemens) – but we integrate and test everything as a complete system. You get the reliability of name-brand components with our engineering support.

Q2: What pull capacity do I need for my well depth?

A: As a rough guide:

  • 20k–30k lbs: 1″ – 1.5″ CT, depth < 8,000 ft

  • 40k–60k lbs: 1.5″ – 2″ CT, depth 8,000 – 15,000 ft

  • 80k–100k+ lbs: 2.375″ – 3.5″ CT, depth > 15,000 ft or heavy milling

Send us your well profile (depth, deviation, tubing size, planned operations) and we’ll run a force analysis – free of charge.

Q3: Can you retrofit an injector head onto my existing CTU from another manufacturer?

A: Yes. Provide the mounting interface dimensions, hydraulic flow requirements, and desired pull capacity. We can design an adapter bracket and matching hydraulic circuit. Many of our customers have replaced worn-out injectors with ours – and saved 40–50% compared to the OEM price.

Q4: What is your typical lead time for a complete coiled tubing unit?

A: Standard 20k–40k lb unit: 90–120 days from order confirmation. Semi-custom (e.g., truck-mounted): 120–150 days. We can expedite if you have an urgent project – just ask.

Q5: Do you provide offshore-certified equipment (DNV, ABS, etc.)?

A: Yes. We can build to DNV 2.7-1, ABS, or client-specific offshore standards. Additional cost and lead time apply – please specify requirements at quotation stage.

Q6: What kind of warranty do you offer?

A: 12 months after commissioning or 18 months after shipment (whichever comes first). We keep a full inventory of spare parts for all major components – available for air freight within 24 hours.

Q7: Can your equipment operate in extreme low temperatures (e.g., -40°C)?

A: Absolutely. Our Arctic package includes heated hydraulic reservoir, low-temperature hoses and seals, heated control cabin, and block heaters on diesel engines. Several units are running year-round in Siberia.

Q8: Do you offer training for our local operators?

A: Yes. We can provide:

  • On-site training at your location (2–3 weeks)

  • Training at our factory in China (including hands-on with a live test unit)

  • Remote video support during initial operations

Q9: How do your prices compare to Halliburton, NOV, or C&J Energy Services?

A: We are typically 30–50% lower for comparable specifications – without cutting corners on materials or testing. But don’t take our word for it. Send us a competitor’s quote (redact the pricing) and we’ll send you a side-by-side comparison with our offer.

Q10: Can you provide financing or leasing options?

A: For qualified international customers, we can work with third-party leasing partners or offer milestone payment terms (e.g., 30% deposit, 40% before shipment, 30% after site acceptance). Discuss with our sales team.
