Why Choose SJ Petro as Your Long-Term Partner?
We don’t just build drilling rigs – we build profitability into every piece of equipment.
1. Backed by Sinopec – The World’s Largest Oil Refiner & Petrochemical Company
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of SOFE (Sinopec’s oilfield equipment arm), we have direct access to decades of drilling data, R&D resources, and field feedback from thousands of wells. You’re not buying from a startup – you’re buying from China’s national oil company’s equipment division.
2. Full Lifecycle Support – Not Just a Warranty Card
-
Pre-sale: Free wellsite visit, feasibility study, and customized rig layout drawing.
-
During manufacturing: Customer or third-party inspection at any stage. Full material traceability.
-
On-site commissioning: Our engineers travel to your location, supervise assembly, and train your crew.
-
After-sale: 24/7 remote diagnostics. Spare parts hubs in Dubai, Houston, and Singapore. Emergency air freight.
3. API Certified – No Shortcuts
Every rig we ship carries API 4F, 7K, 8C, Q1 monograms where applicable. We maintain ISO 9001 and HSE management systems. We welcome any third-party certification you require.
4. Built to Your Well – Not a Generic Catalog
Your reservoir depth, well spacing, local road limits, and crew skill level are unique. Our engineering team customizes:
-
Mast height and setback capacity
-
Drawworks brake type (disc / band / auxiliary)
-
Mud pump flow & pressure
-
BOP handling system
-
Automation level (fully manual to semi-auto pipe handling)
5. Factory-Direct Pricing Without Middlemen
Because we manufacture in-house (steel fabrication, forgings, gearboxes, control cabinets), our cost structure is lean. Expect 20-35% lower total investment compared to European or US brands with the same API specs. Quality is verified by independent inspectors you choose.
6. Proven Export Track Record
Our rigs have been shipped to more than 20 countries – including the Middle East (Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan), South America (Colombia, Ecuador), Africa (Algeria, Nigeria), and Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Myanmar).
FAQ
Q1: What is your lead time for a standard land drilling rig (e.g., ZJ50)?
A: For standard configurations (ZJ30–ZJ70) with VFD drive, typical delivery is 120–150 days from order confirmation. Expedited 90-day delivery is possible for some models. Custom features add 20–40 days. We provide a detailed production schedule before you sign.
Q2: Do you offer financing or leasing?
A: Yes. Through Sinopec’s financial partners, we offer operating leases, finance leases, and even "rig sharing” models for short-term projects. Minimum lease term is 6 months. Contact us for current rates.
Q3: Can you supply a complete rig package including BOP, mud pumps, and power generation?
A: Absolutely. We are a one-stop manufacturer – we build the drawworks, mast, substructure, top drive, control system, and can source third-party BOPs, choke manifolds, and generators as part of an integrated package. All components are pre-tested together before shipment.
Q4: How do you handle spare parts for overseas customers?
A: We maintain a recommended spare parts list for each rig (based on your operating intensity). We also stock common wear parts (brake pads, chains, seals, sensors) in our regional hubs. Urgent parts can be air-freighted within 72 hours. Many customers buy an initial "commissioning spares kit” with the rig.
Q5: What training do you provide for local crews?
A: Standard package includes: 2 weeks classroom (safety, controls, maintenance) + 2 weeks on-site hands-on with our instructors + 1 week supervised operation by your crew. We can also provide simulator-based training and annual refresher courses.
Q6: Can I request a third-party inspection before shipment?
A: Yes – we encourage it. You can appoint SGS, BV, DNV, ABS, Lloyd’s, or any accredited firm to witness: material testing, welding inspections, load testing, and full function testing. All reports are shared with you.
Q7: What is your warranty period?
A: 18 months from shipment or 12 months from commissioning (whichever comes first). We also offer extended warranty and preventive maintenance contracts.
Q8: How do I know which rig model fits my well depth?
A: Send us your planned well profile (target depth, casing program, expected formation pressure). Our engineers will recommend the optimal model, drawworks horsepower, and mud pump configuration – free of charge.
