Why Choose SJ Petro Light Duty Truck Rigs?

1. Most Affordable Professional Rig – Starting at under $100k. No compromise on safety or reliability – we use the same quality standards as our large rigs.

2. Parts Anywhere – The truck chassis is a standard commercial truck. Chassis parts available at any truck dealer. Our drilling components are simple and field‑repairable.

3. One‑Person Operation Option – With auto‑catwalk and auto‑driller, a single person can run the entire rig. Save on labour costs.

4. Fast Delivery – 3‑6 months lead time (vs 8‑12 months for medium/heavy rigs). We stock some chassis and components.

5. Low Operating Cost – 5‑12 L/hr fuel consumption. No special permits. Lower insurance. Simple maintenance.

6. Easy Financing – Because the rig is built on a standard truck, it can often be financed as commercial vehicle equipment. Leasing available.

7. Backed by Sinopec – Not a "garage” rig. Our light duty rigs are designed by the same engineers who build 9,000m super‑rigs – scaled down, not dumbed down.

8. Global Training & Support – We provide on‑site training for your crew. 24/7 remote support. Spare parts shipped within 72 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What is the maximum depth this light duty rig can drill?
For 6‑8″ water wells: SJ‑TML‑300 drills to 300m (1,000 ft); SJ‑TML‑500 drills to 500m (1,600 ft). For smaller diameter (4‑6″), depths can extend 20‑30% deeper.

Q2: Do I need a special driver’s license to drive this rig?
In most regions, a standard commercial driver’s license (CDL class B or equivalent) is sufficient. The rig is under 26,000 lbs GVWR for many models. Check your local regulations – we provide documentation for registration.

Q3: Can one person really operate the rig?
With the optional auto‑catwalk and auto‑driller, yes. The operator runs the controls from the cabin, and the hydraulic catwalk moves pipe automatically. Without automation, a helper is recommended for safety.

Q4: What type of drilling can it do – rotary, DTH, air, mud?
Standard configuration is mud rotary. Options include: air rotary (DTH hammer) with compressor, or combination mud/air. Specify your formation.

Q5: How long does it take to set up at a new site?
20‑40 minutes from driving onto location to spudding the well. This includes leveling, raising mast, connecting mud lines, and warming up the pump.

Q6: Can I drill through rock with this rig?
Yes – with the air compressor option and DTH hammer, you can drill hard rock. For very hard formations, consider a top drive option for better torque control.

Q7: What is the warranty?
12 months on drilling components, 24 months on truck chassis (OEM warranty). Extended warranty available.

Q8: Do you provide training?
Yes – 3‑5 days on‑site training included with purchase. We also offer a training manual and video library.

Q9: Can I get a rig with a 4×4 chassis for rough terrain?
Yes – we can mount on a 4×4 truck (e.g., Isuzu 4×4, Sinotruk 4×4). Reduced GVWR but better off‑road capability.

Q10: How do I get a quote?
Provide: target depth, desired well diameter, formation type (sand, clay, rock), and preferred chassis brand. We will respond within 3 business days with a model recommendation and fixed price.
