All models available with electric drive (VFD + electric motor) instead of diesel – zero emissions, quieter, lower operating cost where grid power is available.
Why Choose SJ Petro Fracturing Pump Sets?
1. Continuous Duty Design – Pumps are rated for hours at 85‑90% load, not intermittent. Our water‑cooled fluid end and forced lubrication prevent overheating.
2. Highest Pressure in Class – 20,000 psi working pressure on SJ‑FP‑5000. For ultra‑deep wells requiring extreme pressure.
3. Quintuplex Smoothing – Reduced pulsation means less vibration in your frac manifold and wellhead – longer equipment life.
4. Full Frac Spread Integration – We supply pumps, blender, iron, data van, and additive system. One vendor, one warranty.
5. Remote Control Standard – No personnel near high‑pressure iron. Operate from the data van.
6. Data Logging Included – Every pump records pressure, rate, and temperature. Export post‑job reports.
7. Global Spares Network – Pump parts (valves, seats, packing) stocked in Houston, Dubai, Singapore. 48‑hour air freight.
8. API 6A / 7K Certified – Full certification for pressure‑containing components. NACE MR0175 for sour service.
9. Sinopec Engineering – Backed by decades of frac experience. Our pumps are field‑proven, not prototypes.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What is the difference between a fracturing pump set and a cementing pump?
Frac pumps are designed for continuous duty (hours at high load) and higher pressure (20,000 psi). Cementing pumps are for intermittent use (30‑60 minutes) at lower pressure (15,000 psi). Frac pumps use quintuplex design for smoother flow; cementing pumps are typically triplex.
Q2: How many pumps are needed for a typical fracturing job?
A typical shale frac spread uses 8‑20 pumps, depending on formation depth, pressure, and required rate. Each pump contributes 15‑25 bbl/min. The manifold combines all outputs.
Q3: Can your pumps run on electric power?
Yes – we offer electric drive versions (VFD + electric motor) for grids or generators. Electric frac spreads are quieter, have zero emissions, and lower maintenance.
Q4: What is the maximum continuous operating pressure?
SJ‑FP‑5000 is rated for 20,000 psi (138 MPa) continuous with 5″ plungers. Higher pressures require smaller plungers and higher horsepower. Contact engineering for your specific requirement.
Q5: How do you prevent fluid end cracking?
Our fluid ends are forged (not cast), made from stainless steel or Inconel, and include water cooling passages. Critical stress areas are FEA‑analyzed.
Q6: How long can the pump run continuously at full load?
Typically 8‑10 hours at 85‑90% load with proper cooling and fluid end temperature monitoring. We recommend a 30‑minute cool‑down period after 8 hours.
Q7: Do you provide the frac manifold and iron?
Yes – we supply API 6A/16C high‑pressure iron, plug valves, zipper frac manifolds, and hammer unions. All rated for 15,000‑20,000 psi.
Q8: What is the typical lead time for a 3,500 HP frac pump set?
8‑10 months FOB China. For large spreads (10+ pumps), we can phase deliveries over 6‑12 months.
Q9: Do you offer rental frac pump sets?
Yes – we have a rental fleet of SJ‑FP‑2500 and SJ‑FP‑3500 units for short‑term projects. Minimum rental 3 months. Contact rental desk.
Q10: What training do you provide for frac pump operators?
3‑5 day on‑site training covering pump operation, fluid end maintenance, valve/seat replacement, packing change, and remote control system. Simulator available.
Q11: Are your pumps NACE MR0175 certified for sour service?
Yes – we supply Inconel 625 fluid ends, tungsten carbide valves/seats, and AFLAS packings. Full MTRs and NACE certificates provided.
Q12: How do I get a quote for a fracturing pump set?
Provide: desired horsepower, pressure, rate, continuous run time, and number of pumps needed for your spread. We will respond with a technical proposal and fixed price within 7‑10 business days.
