Product Types {#product-types}

SJ Petro offers a full portfolio of coiled tubing products tailored to diverse downhole environments and operational requirements:

Standard Carbon Steel Coiled Tubing (CT70–CT110): Our core product line, optimized for general well intervention, workover, and drilling applications. These strings deliver an optimal balance of strength, flexibility, and fatigue life for most onshore and offshore operations.

Low-Temperature Coiled Tubing: Specifically engineered for arctic and cold-climate operations. SJ Petro’s低温 coiled tubing has been successfully deployed across Siberia and other high-latitude regions, reliably performing sand washing, paraffin removal, gas lifting, and other workover tasks at ambient temperatures as low as -45°C.

High-Strength Coiled Tubing (CT100/CT110): Designed for deep-well and high-pressure applications where superior tensile strength and collapse resistance are critical. Higher grades allow operators to reach greater depths while maintaining safety margins.

Corrosion-Resistant Alloy (CRA) Coiled Tubing (Available Upon Request): For sour service environments containing H₂S and CO₂, we can supply corrosion-resistant alloy CT solutions on a custom-order basis, ensuring long-term integrity in aggressive downhole conditions.

Applications {#applications}

Coiled tubing is one of the most versatile tools in upstream oil and gas operations. Our CT strings are engineered for the following key applications:

  • Well Intervention & Workover — Sand cleanouts, scale and asphaltene removal, acidizing, solvent placement, nitrogen lifting, and fishing operations

  • Drilling — Underbalanced drilling, re-entry drilling, and through-tubing rotary drilling for extended-reach wells

  • Well Completion — Velocity string installation, gas lift systems, and thru-tubing completions without a rig

  • Well Logging & Diagnostics — CT-conveyed electric line and fiber-optic logging for real-time downhole data acquisition

  • Remedial Cementing & Plug Placement — Squeeze cementing, bridge plug setting, and zonal isolation operations

Our coiled tubing equipment integrates seamlessly with your existing surface control systems, and we offer full technical support from job planning through on-site execution for complex operations.

Why Choose SJ Petro? {#why-choose-sj-petro}

With so many coiled tubing suppliers in the market, what makes SJ Petro the right partner for your next project?

✔ Sinopec-Group Backing, Globally Recognized: As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec Oilfield Equipment Corporation, SJ Petro operates under one of the world’s largest energy companies. Our products and services have earned trust from Saudi Aramco, Kuwait KOC, Oman PDO, and major Russian oil companies.

✔ Decades of Continuous Innovation: SJ Petro began developing coiled tubing technology in 2004 and has since achieved complete domestic localization of core components, with our automated CTU performance recognized as world-class.

✔ Proven Performance in Extreme Conditions: From -45°C Siberian operations to ultra-deep 8,000-meter domestic wells and high-pressure sour gas environments (max wellhead pressure 45 MPa, circulation pressure 60 MPa), our CT strings have been validated in the world’s harshest downhole conditions.

✔ Full-Spectrum One-Stop Solution: Unlike suppliers that only provide tubing strings, SJ Petro offers complete coiled tubing solutions—including equipment, strings, downhole tools, and technical services—reducing your procurement complexity and ensuring seamless integration.

✔ Rigorous Quality Control: API, ISO9001, and HSE certified. Every CT string undergoes full non-destructive testing (NDT), dimensional inspection, and mechanical property validation before leaving our facility.

✔ Custom Manufacturing & Fast Turnaround: Need non-standard OD, WT, or special steel grades? Our flexible production lines accommodate custom orders with competitive lead times. OEM/ODM service is available.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) {#frequently-asked-questions-faq}

Q1: What is the maximum continuous length of coiled tubing you can manufacture?

A: The maximum length depends on the OD, WT, and steel grade combination. As a general reference, our CT reels typically accommodate up to 9,000 meters (approximately 29,500 feet) for standard sizes, subject to weight and transportation constraints. For specific length requirements, please consult our engineers with your well parameters.

Q2: What standards do your coiled tubing products comply with?

A: Our coiled tubing is manufactured and tested in full compliance with API Spec 5ST (R2020) and GB/T 34204. Additional certifications (ISO 9001, HSE) are available upon request.

Q3: Can you supply coiled tubing for sour service (H₂S/CO₂ environments)?

A: Yes. For corrosive environments, we can provide corrosion-resistant alloy (CRA) coiled tubing solutions. Please share your downhole fluid composition and operating conditions with our technical team for material grade recommendations.

Q4: What is the typical lead time for a coiled tubing order?

A: Standard CT string orders are typically delivered within 30–45 days after order confirmation. Custom specifications or special alloy grades may require extended lead times. Contact us for current production scheduling and expedited options.

Q5: Do you provide onsite technical support for coiled tubing operations?

A: Absolutely. SJ Petro offers full after-sales support, including commissioning assistance, onsite technical guidance, and operator training. For complex interventions, our field service engineers can be deployed to your wellsite.

Q6: How does your pricing compare to other manufacturers?

A: As a vertically integrated manufacturer under the Sinopec Group, we offer highly competitive pricing without compromising quality. Our value proposition combines international-grade performance with cost-effective Chinese manufacturing. Request a quote to compare.

Q7: Do you offer custom pipe end processing or threading?

A: Yes. We can provide custom pipe end processing according to your specific connection requirements.

Q8: Can you supply tapered coiled tubing strings?

A: Yes. We can engineer tapered CT strings with varying wall thicknesses along the string length to optimize weight distribution and maximize reach.
