| SJ‑CS (Cementing Skid) | Skid | Single or twin | Land operators, drilling contractors |
| SJ‑CT (Cementing Truck) | Truck (8×6 Benz) | Twin | Multi‑well pads, remote roads |
| SJ‑CS‑S (Offshore Split) | Two half‑skids | Twin | Platform operators with crane limits |
| SJ‑CC (Container Cementer) | 20ft ISO container | Single or twin | Corrosive environment, tender vessels |
| SJ‑HP (High Pressure Skid) | Skid (custom) | Twin, up to 3,450 HHP | Deepwater, HPHT exploration |
Why Choose SJ Petro Cementing Units?
1. Proven ACM Accuracy – ±0.02 g/cm³ density control – field verified on thousands of jobs. Your cement slurry is consistent, reducing job failures.
2. Built‑In Data Logging – No extra cost for DAS. Every unit records pressure, rate, density, and volume. You get a digital job report immediately after pumping.
3. Easy Maintenance – Pumps have quick‑change liners and valves. ACM sensors are accessible from ground level. All units come with a full set of drawings and parts lists.
4. Global Parts Availability – TPH400 pump parts (packing, valves, seats) are stocked in Houston, Dubai, and Singapore. CAT engine parts are available worldwide.
5. Short Lead Times – Standard skid units: 4‑5 months. Truck units: 5‑6 months. Offshore split skids: 6‑7 months. Compare to 8‑12 months from other manufacturers.
6. Third‑Party Certifications – API 7K (pump), ABS, DNV, CCS. NACE MR0175 available for sour service.
7. Sinopec Engineering Heritage – Our units are used daily by Sinopec’s own cementing crews. Continuous improvement based on real field feedback.
8. Flexible Rental Options – Need a unit for a short project? We have a rental fleet of SJ‑CS‑1 and SJ‑CS‑2 units available for 3‑12 months.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What is the difference between a cementing unit and a cementing system?
A cementing unit is the pump + mixer + control on a skid or truck. A cementing system adds bulk cement tanks, water tanks, and additive systems. You can use our units with your own bulk handling or purchase a full system from us.
Q2: Can I retrofit ACM density control to my existing cementing unit (not SJ Petro)?
Yes. We offer an ACM retrofit kit that includes the Micro Motion meter, control valve, PLC, and HMI. We need to inspect your mixing tub and hydraulics.
Q3: How accurate is the density control in field conditions?
We guarantee ±0.02 g/cm³ during continuous mixing at steady rates. During rate changes (start‑stop), accuracy may widen slightly but returns to specification within 5‑10 seconds.
Q4: What is the typical fuel consumption of a diesel‑hydraulic unit?
Single pump unit at 70% load: 8‑12 gallons (30‑45 L) per hour. Twin pump unit: 15‑20 gallons (55‑75 L) per hour. Idle consumption much lower.
Q5: Can the unit pump fluids other than cement?
Yes – brine, water, acid (with stainless trim), and fracturing fluids (light jobs). But the fluid end must be compatible – standard carbon steel is not acid‑resistant. Specify your intended fluids.
Q6: How do I clean the unit after a cement job?
Circulate clean water through the pump and ACM, then flush with a displacement spacer. Our design includes flush ports and drain points for easy cleaning. We provide a written wash‑down procedure.
Q7: What is the warranty on a new cementing unit?
18 months from shipment or 12 months from commissioning (whichever first). Pump fluid end parts (liners, valves, seats) are considered wear items – 6 months warranty.
Q8: Do you offer operator training?
Yes. 2‑day on‑site training covering ACM operation, pumping techniques, DAS reporting, and basic troubleshooting. Simulator training also available at our facility.
Q9: How do I choose between single and twin pump?
Choose single pump for: land wells <4,000 m, budget priority, shallow depth. Choose twin pump for: deep wells (>4,000 m), HPHT, offshore, or any job where pump failure would be catastrophic. Twin gives you redundancy and higher rate.
Q10: What is the lead time for a rental unit?
Rental units are typically available for dispatch within 2‑4 weeks, depending on location. Call our rental desk for current availability.
Q11: Can the unit be operated from a remote control room?
Yes – with our remote control option (100‑meter wired pendant or wireless). For longer distances, the RemoteCem cloud module allows operation from any internet‑connected computer.
Q12: How do I get a quote for a cementing unit?
Provide: required max pressure (psi or MPa), desired max rate (bpm or m³/min), single or twin pump, mounting (skid/truck/container), and any environmental or material specials (NACE, arctic, offshore). We will respond with a technical datasheet and fixed price within 5 business days.
