Product Types – Choose Your High Pressure Valve
We manufacture a complete range of high pressure valves for upstream oil and gas.
1. High Pressure Gate Valve – Slab Gate (Most Common)
Best for: Wellheads, Christmas trees, manifolds, flow lines
The slab gate valve is the workhorse of oilfield high pressure service. A single-piece gate slides between two seats. When fully open, the bore is straight through – no flow restriction.
Our slab gate features:
-
Floating seats for positive sealing
-
Non-rising stem (standard) or rising stem (optional)
-
Grease fittings for stem and seat lubrication
-
Available in manual or actuated (pneumatic/hydraulic)
2. High Pressure Gate Valve – Expanding Gate
Best for: Gas service, applications requiring mechanical expansion to seal
Unlike slab gates, expanding gate valves have two gate halves that mechanically expand against the seats when closed – creating a positive seal even if the seats wear.
Best for: High-pressure gas wells, critical service where zero leakage is mandatory
3. High Pressure Choke Valve (Adjustable)
Best for: Production manifolds, well testing, fracturing return flow control
Choke valves control flow rate by creating a variable orifice. Our adjustable chokes feature:
-
Hardfaced needle and seat (tungsten carbide or Stellite)
-
Linear or rotary stem movement
-
Position indicator (travel scale)
-
Optional hydraulic actuation for remote operation
4. High Pressure Positive Choke Valve (Fixed Orifice)
Best for: Low-cost flow restriction where adjustment isn't needed
A fixed bean or plug with a precision-drilled orifice. Simple, reliable, and inexpensive. Ideal for water injection or secondary recovery.
5. High Pressure Check Valve (Non-Return)
Best for: Preventing backflow in high pressure lines
Our check valves use a spring-loaded poppet or swing disc. Designed for vertical or horizontal installation. Available in wafer or flanged body.
6. High Pressure Needle Valve (Instrumentation)
Best for: Gauge isolation, bleed ports, small-bore high pressure lines
Compact, high-pressure needle valves for instrument connections. Rated up to 15,000 PSI. Metal-to-metal seats or soft seats (PTFE/PEEK) available.
7. High Pressure Ball Valve – Trunnion Mounted (Limited Sizes)
Best for: On-off service with low torque (available on request)
We manufacture high pressure trunnion ball valves in select sizes (2″ – 4″, 5,000 – 10,000 PSI). Ask for availability.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What's the difference between API 6A and API 6D valves?
A: API 6A is for wellhead and Christmas tree equipment – higher pressure ratings (up to 20,000 PSI), smaller sizes (usually up to 9″), and more stringent material and testing requirements for sour service. API 6D is for pipeline valves – lower pressure (ASME classes), larger sizes, and different testing protocols.
Our high pressure valves are API 6A – designed for wellhead and manifold service where the pressure is highest.
Q2: What pressure rating do I need for my well?
A: General guidance:
-
2,000–3,000 PSI (2M–3M): shallow oil wells, water injection
-
5,000 PSI (5M): most standard oil and gas wells (most common)
-
10,000 PSI (10M): deep wells, high-pressure gas wells
-
15,000–20,000 PSI (15M–20M): ultra-deep HPHT wells, some fracturing operations
Always rate valves for maximum anticipated wellhead pressure (MAWP) at the highest expected temperature. When in doubt, go one rating higher.
Q3: What trim material should I choose – EE, FF, or HH?
A: API 6A defines material classes based on service conditions:
| Class | Service | Material (seats/gates/stems) |
|---|---|---|
| AA | General (no H₂S, low CO₂) | Carbon steel or low-alloy |
| BB | General (slightly more corrosion) | 410 stainless |
| CC | Mildly corrosive | 316 stainless |
| DD | Mildly corrosive with H₂S | 410 + NACE |
| EE | Sour service (H₂S present) | 316 stainless + NACE |
| FF | Very sour service | Inconel 625 or similar |
| HH | Severe sour + high CO₂ | Inconel 718, Hastelloy |
Most operators use EE or FF for sour gas wells. Tell us your H₂S and CO₂ partial pressures – we'll recommend.
Q4: What's PSL (Performance Requirement Level)? Do I need PSL 3 or 4?
A: PSL defines additional testing, documentation, and quality control:
-
PSL 1 – Basic. No NDT of welds, minimal documentation. Fine for water or low-risk.
-
PSL 2 – Adds NDT of body welds and some documentation.
-
PSL 3 – Adds charpy impact testing, full NDT, and detailed material traceability.
-
PSL 4 – Most rigorous. Adds PR2 testing (cyclic pressure/temperature) and even tighter controls.
For most oil and gas wells, PSL 3 is sufficient. For HPHT or critical sour service, consider PSL 4. We'll advise based on your well.
Q5: Do you offer PR2 testing (cyclic pressure and temperature)?
A: Yes. PR2 testing cycles the valve through multiple pressure and temperature cycles (hot and cold). This is typically required for HPHT wells or where the valve will see extreme thermal cycling. Additional cost and lead time. Specify "PR2" in your inquiry.
Q6: What end connections do you offer – flanged, threaded, or weld?
A: All three:
-
Flanged – API 6B (3,000–5,000 PSI) or API 6BX (10,000+ PSI). Most common for wellhead valves.
-
Threaded – NPT or API tapered threads. For smaller sizes (2″ and under).
-
Weld ends – butt weld or socket weld. For permanent installations.
Tell us your wellhead or manifold connection type.
Q7: Can your valves be automated (pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric actuation)?
A: Yes. All our gate valves and choke valves can be fitted with:
-
Pneumatic actuators (single or double acting)
-
Hydraulic actuators (for BOP or subsea controls)
-
Electric actuators (for remote or automated facilities)
-
Manual override included
We can supply the complete actuated valve assembly – pre-tested at our factory.
Q8: What's the difference between slab gate and expanding gate?
A: Slab gate – a single-piece gate slides between two floating seats. Sealing comes from line pressure pushing the gate against the downstream seat. Simpler, lower cost, suitable for most oil and liquid service.
Expanding gate – two gate halves that mechanically expand when closing, pressing against both seats. Provides positive seal even at low pressure. Better for gas service and where thermal cycling occurs. More expensive.
Ask us which is better for your service.
Q9: Do you manufacture high pressure valves for subsea applications?
A: We manufacture subsea valves to API 6A (including subsea gate valves and choke valves) with appropriate subsea coatings and ROV interfaces. Subsea certification (e.g., ABS, DNV) is available. Please specify subsea requirements – lead times are longer.
Q10: What's the lead time for a standard high pressure gate valve?
A: 8–12 weeks for standard sizes (2-1/16″ – 4-1/16″), 5,000–10,000 PSI, PSL 3, standard trim (EE). Add 4–6 weeks for HH trim, PR2 testing, or exotic materials. Expedited service available (ask about lead times).
Q11: Do you provide OEM / private label valves?
A: Yes. We can manufacture valves with your brand name and part numbers. Minimum order quantities apply. We already supply OEM valves to several international oilfield equipment distributors – references available.
Q12: What's the warranty on high pressure valves?
A: 18 months from shipment or 12 months from installation (whichever occurs first). Covers manufacturing defects – not wear parts (seats, seals, packing). Extended warranty available for an additional fee.
Q13: How do your prices compare to Cameron, GE, or NOV valves?
A: We are typically 20–40% lower for equivalent API 6A specifications (same pressure, same trim, same PSL). The difference is not quality – it's lower overhead and direct factory sales. We're happy to provide a side-by-side quote.
Q14: Do you stock spare parts for your valves in major oilfield regions?
A: We maintain inventory of common spare parts (seat kits, gate assemblies, stem packing, grease fittings) in our factory and at selected distributors in the Middle East and Russia. For non-stocked parts, lead time is 2–4 weeks.
Q15: Can you provide third-party inspection (SGS, BV, DNV, TUV)?
A: Yes. Third-party inspection is available at buyer's expense. We'll coordinate the visit to our factory. Witness testing (hydrostatic, gas, PR2) can be included.
