Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What API specifications do your downhole tools meet?
Our tools are manufactured according to API Spec 7, API 7‑1, API 5CT, and ISO 9001:2015 standards. Specific product categories can be API monogrammed. We can also provide third‑party certification (BV, DNV, SGS) upon request.
Q2: Do you offer H₂S‑resistant (sour service) downhole tools?
Yes. We produce H₂S‑resistant jars, fishing tools, and stabilizers using high‑quality imported sulfur‑resistant materials. Our H₂S tools are qualified for sour gas fields per NACE MR0175/ISO 15156.
Q3: What is your lead time for a standard drilling jar or overshot?
Standard lead time for most fishing tools and jars is 45–60 days from order confirmation. For large‑volume orders, lead times may be shorter due to our stocked raw materials.
Q4: Do you supply non‑magnetic drill collars and stabilizers?
Yes. We manufacture non‑magnetic drill collars and non‑magnetic stabilizers for directional drilling and MWD/LWD applications. We use premium non‑magnetic steel with full material certifications.
Q5: Can you customize tools for non‑standard API connections?
Absolutely. If your BHA requires a proprietary or non‑standard connection, we can machine custom threads and connections to your drawing or sample. Custom subs, crossovers, and adapters are also available.
Q6: Do you provide third‑party inspection?
Yes. We welcome inspection from BV, DNV, SGS, or any third party you nominate. We can provide full material test reports (MTRs), dimensional inspection reports, and performance test certificates.
Q7: What is the warranty on your downhole tools?
Standard warranty is 12 months from shipment or 6 months from first use (whichever comes first). We also offer extended warranty options for high‑usage tools.
Q8: Do you ship to my country?
We have exported downhole equipment to over 30 countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, India, Indonesia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada, USA, UK, and Norway. We understand international shipping, customs clearance (HS code 843143), and LC documentation.
Q9: How can I request a quote?
Send the following details to export@sjpetro.com: tool type(s) required, preferred size and connection, quantity, material requirements (standard, H₂S‑resistant, non‑magnetic, low‑temperature), and any special dimensional requirements. We will respond within 48 hours with a detailed quotation and preliminary drawing.
Q10: Can I visit your factory?
Yes. We are located in Jingzhou, Hubei Province, China. Factory tours with our engineering team are available by appointment. We can also schedule a live video walkthrough of our manufacturing facility.
